“Natural” GLP-1 supplements are all the rage, with lots of products on the market promising to stimulate your hormones just like Ozempic. But what if you could naturally boost your glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) levels—with only your diet?

Currently, Ozempic is only FDA-approved to help control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes, but doctors have been prescribing it “off-label” for weight loss. So, if you wanted to go on Ozempic and don’t have type-2 diabetes, it can be difficult to get it prescribed—or covered by insurance.

Given that, it’s understandable to be curious about other ways to boost your body’s levels of GLP-1—without Ozempic. Now, some people on social media may have found a hack: They’re discussing a link between eating protein and stimulating your body’s GLP-1 levels.
